Encrypted vault
Passwords, keys and API keys are kept out of your host list and can be locked with a master password (AES-256-GCM).

Harnesses teach AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and OpenCode to work the way an expert would, in your stack or on your server. Synapse shows every file, permission and hook before it writes anything, merges with the files already there, and can update or remove a harness cleanly.

Stack harnesses
Applied to a project folder on your server. Synapse detects the stack and suggests the matching harness. Each one was validated by building a real feature in a fresh project, with every check passing.

What's inside a stack harness
Rules
An AGENTS.md with the stack's conventions, security basics and a "Never" list. CLAUDE.md, GEMINI.md and Cursor rules point to it.
Checks
A definition of done: tests, formatter, static analysis, types and build must pass before the agent calls the work finished.
Guardrails
Safe commands run without asking, risky ones ask first, and destructive ones are blocked: migrate:fresh, db:wipe, prisma migrate reset, force pushes, reading .env.
Hooks
After each edit the file is formatted or linted (Pint, Prettier, php -l). Hooks are fast, never use the network and step aside if anything fails.
Commands
Slash commands like /feature and /migration, plus stack buttons in Synapse's session tools for the checks, migrations, routes and WP-CLI.
Detection and preview
Synapse spots the stack, previews every change before writing, and merges with your existing files instead of overwriting them.
Rules work with any agent that reads AGENTS.md. Permissions, hooks and slash commands use Claude Code's settings.

The app has no analytics or telemetry, and this site uses no cookies or trackers.
Your data stays on your device
Hosts, settings and credentials are stored locally. Credentials go in the vault, not the host list.
AI only when you choose
Relay talks directly to the AI provider you set up. Your vault is never sent to it.
